PADI ReActivate Scuba Refresher – Return to Diving with Confidence

Refresh your diving knowledge and practical skills

An official PADI refresher program for certified divers

Haven’t dived for a while and want to refresh your knowledge and skills?
PADI ReActivate Scuba Refresher is an official PADI program for certified divers who want to update their diving knowledge, review important practical skills and return to the water calmer and more confident.

This program is suitable for divers who already have a certification but have not dived for months or years, feel unsure before their next dive, or want to prepare better before a diving holiday, course or series of dives.

What is PADI ReActivate?

PADI ReActivate is a structured program designed to refresh your diving knowledge and practical skills.

It includes:

  1. Knowledge Review / online knowledge refresher through PADI eLearning
  2. In-water skills refresher / practical session in the water with a PADI professional

The online part helps you move quickly through the topics you remember well and spend more time on the topics you may have forgotten.

The practical in-water part is conducted with a PADI professional and focuses on realistically reviewing and practising essential scuba diving skills.

What will you review in the online part?

Through PADI eLearning, you will refresh essential knowledge related to safe scuba diving.

You will review topics such as:

  • Basic safety rules
  • Dive planning
  • Underwater behaviour
  • Use of scuba equipment
  • Air management
  • Communication with your buddy
  • Problem management
  • Important principles from beginner scuba training

After completing the online part, you complete the ReActivate Quick Review. After successful completion, you may receive confirmation that you have completed the knowledge review.

What does the practical in-water part include?

The practical part is conducted with a PADI professional and is adapted to the needs of the individual diver.

This means the instructor can focus more on the skills you personally need to review or practise.

During the practical part, important skills may be reviewed, such as:

  • Assembling and checking scuba equipment
  • Buoyancy control
  • Neutral buoyancy and hovering
  • Mask removal, replacement and clearing
  • Regulator recovery
  • Breathing and movement underwater
  • Underwater communication
  • Use of an alternate air source
  • Emergency procedures
  • Calm and controlled behaviour underwater
  • Other skills depending on the diver’s needs and the instructor’s assessment

The goal is not to repeat the entire Open Water Diver course, but to refresh key knowledge and skills so you can return to diving with more confidence.

How does the program work?

First, you receive access to PADI ReActivate eLearning, which you complete online at your own pace.

After completing the online part, we organize the practical in-water session. Before entering the water, you will have a short discussion with the instructor to clarify when you last dived, what experience you have and which skills you would like to practise.

After that, the equipment is prepared, checked and the practical session begins. The instructor leads the session calmly and according to your level, with attention to safety, control and confidence underwater.

ReActivated card

If you complete both the online knowledge review and the practical in-water session with a PADI professional, you may receive a new PADI certification card with a “ReActivated” date.

This date shows that you have completed an official program to refresh your diving knowledge and skills.

What is included in the offer?

  • PADI ReActivate eLearning / online knowledge refresher
  • ReActivate Quick Review
  • Practical in-water session with a PADI professional
  • Individually focused review of essential scuba diving skills
  • Full scuba equipment, if needed
  • Tank and weights
  • Assistance with processing the ReActivated card after successful completion of both parts
  • A calm pace adapted to the diver’s experience and needs

Duration

The online part is completed independently at a time convenient for you.

The practical part usually takes approximately 2 – 3 hours, including preparation, briefing, equipment setup, in-water exercises and final discussion.
